Located in the tranquil surroundings of the Union church, a home away from home, our small, nurturing Montessori nursery welcomes children from Whetstone, Woodside Park, Finchley, and the surrounding areas. Whetstone Montessori Nursery London provides the best for your child in a warm and welcoming atmosphere designed to foster children's natural curiosity and love of learning.
Whetstone Montessori Nursery offers 15 hours of free early education and 30 hours of free early education for children from age 2 to 5 years old.

Our Montessori Children's House is open in a beautiful building in north Finchley, close to Woodside Park and Totteridge and Whetstone tube stations on the Northern line. We are now accepting children from 2 years to 5 years old in our ground floor preschool.
All our groups follow the principles of Maria Montessori, guided by Montessori trained teachers able to provide the best childcare environment for your child to grow in and develop naturally.
Whetstone Montessori Nursery is open from 8 am to 4 pm weekdays during term time, for 39 weeks of the year, not including half-term sessions and summer camps
Session times:
- Morning session 8:30am to 12:15pm
- Lunch 12:15pm to 1:00pm
- Afternoon session 1:00pm to 4pm
A tailored education
In our Montessori nursery:
- Mixed-age groups provide opportunities for the children to develop their social abilities within a harmonious community.
- Every child is a unique person with creative potential, the drive to learn and the right to be treated with respect as an individual.
- Children are given the freedom to work and move around that enables them to see themselves as independent and part of a group.
- Children are encouraged to work at their own pace, either individually or in co-operation with others.
The Montessori method of learning by doing enables young children to develop confidence in their own abilities and to persist in the face of difficulty, something that will stay with them their whole lives.
Under the expert guidance of Montessori teachers who demonstrate how to discover the world through the use of specially made materials, the children quickly develop a sense of self confidence and self-esteem that gives them strength.
